Amuna and Hannah
If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?
H: I'd go back to Vanuatu because even though Amuna and I only spent one week there, we absolutely fell in love with the place. Also, we were planning to do a fundraising project which unfortunately didn't work out due to lack of time; I would like to go back and finish that.
Last book you read? Did you like it?
A: The Interpreters by Wole Soyinka. I absolutely loved it and am now reading his Season of Anomy.
What was your favourite subject in school? Why?
A: History and German, because I'm interested in learning about the world and why it is so messed up now. Also I love writing and literature.
Do you have any pets? If so, what are they?
A: No; animals shouldn't be kept in the house, especially not in the city.
Do you play any instruments?
H: I used to play the piano from when I was 6 years old, and really regret that I stopped practicing.
Do you have good handwriting?
A: In Arabic, my handwriting is amazing. In English, not so much.
Favorite actress? Why?
H: Tilda Swinton. I like how she doesn’t comply to gender rules and from the perspective of a director, I would love to work with her. However her playing a geisha was a mistake.
Funniest comedy TV show?
A: Living Single. It makes me want to go back to the 90s every time I watch it. “Don't touch me unless you want to get burned!”
One clothing item you can't live without?
H: Comfortable mum jeans.
Favorite place to get breakfast?
H: My good friend Lukas' place – he makes the best pancakes ever!
